The Global Command shortcuts are available throughout PrusaSlicer and are not tied to a specific workspace or tool. They control application-level functions such as creating and opening projects, saving files, importing and exporting, slicing, switching workspaces, and common editing commands like Undo, Redo, Copy, and Paste.
These shortcuts are grouped together because they affect the entire project or application rather than a selected model. They remain active regardless of whether you are working in the Plater, Preview, or another editing mode, providing consistent access to the commands used most frequently during a project.
The Plater shortcuts control the placement and organization of models on the build plate. They include commands for selecting, moving, rotating, scaling, duplicating, arranging, mirroring, splitting, cutting, and preparing objects before slicing.
This group becomes active while working in the Plater workspace. The shortcuts are grouped together because they all modify the position, orientation, or structure of objects without changing print settings or generated toolpaths.
The following shortcuts are applicable when the specified gizmo is active
The Gizmos shortcuts control PrusaSlicer’s interactive editing tools. These tools include Move, Rotate, Scale, Cut, Text, SVG, Support Painting, Seam Painting, Color Painting, and other object editing features that temporarily change how the mouse interacts with the selected model.
These shortcuts become available when a compatible object is selected and the corresponding editing tool is active. They are grouped together because they all place the application into a specific editing mode instead of performing a one-time action.
The Objects shortcuts manage the printing properties of the selected object or part without changing its geometry, placement, or print settings. These commands include marking an object as Printable or Unprintable, assigning the default extruder, and selecting a specific extruder number for multi-material or multi-extruder prints. Their purpose is to control how the selected object is processed during slicing.
These shortcuts become available when one or more objects, parts, or modifier meshes are selected in the Plater. They are grouped together because they all affect the selected object’s print behavior rather than its physical appearance or position. Instead of editing the model itself, these commands modify object-specific properties that determine whether and how that object is included in the final G-code.
The Preview shortcuts control navigation and visualization of the generated G-code after a model has been sliced. They provide quick access to layer navigation, toolpath visibility, animation controls, and other viewing options used to inspect the finished toolpaths.
These shortcuts are only available while viewing the Preview workspace because they require generated G-code. They are grouped together because they are used to verify the print rather than modify the model or print settings.
